Russian poker player Alexander Kravchenko got his first bracelet in  2007 at $1,500.00 Omaha Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better event at the World Series of Poker, with $228,466 in cash prize. This was after he scored a 13th place finish at the World Poker Tour Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in the same month of the same year (June 2007), earning him $21,860.

In the same year during the WSOP $10,000 buy-in main event, Kravchenko finished 4th when he made it to the final table. He came up short for a bracelet but more than $1.85 million richer from his 4th place finish.

Months later, Alex went to London to play at the first ever World Series of Poker Europe, where he reached the final table of the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event, finishing in 5th place for a cash prize of £17,850 or $35,671. The 37-year old bracelet winner rounded off the year with a 3rd place finish at the Moscow Millions in November, winning the $77,000 prize money.

As of 2008, Alex’s total live tournament earning is over $2,600,000, a figure that puts him at the top of list of Russian players with one of the highest winnings. Alexander Kravchenko is the only Russian poker player who has reached a major event in the World Series of Poker and got off with a bracelet.

Businessman Alexander Kravchenko were making investments in businesses, but then explored the idea of earning more in local casinos around Moscow. Before he moved to master the game of Oasis Poker (a Caribbean Stud variation), he first began playing blackjack. During the late '90s, Hold’em tournaments produced large amounts of money prizes. Kravchenko then tried his luck on these tournaments to take the opportunity to earn more. This began the Russian player's journey into the money earning world of poker. He played poker for years before the big break came in the World Series of Poker 2007.
