Women in Poker: Breaking Barriers at the Table

Poker has historically been male-dominated, but female players have been making increasingly significant marks on the game at every level.

Pioneers

Barbara Enright became the first woman to reach the WSOP Main Event final table in 1995, finishing fifth. Her achievement remains one of poker's most notable accomplishments and opened doors for future generations.

Vanessa Selbst is the most successful female poker player in history by tournament earnings, with over $11 million in live winnings and three WSOP bracelets. Victoria Coren Mitchell made history as the first player, male or female, to win two European Poker Tour titles.
